Chameleon P-LOOP 2.0 on the Signal Hound Spectrum Analyzer

A few days ago, I posted my first blog and deployment images on the Chameleon P-LOOP 2.0. If you’re interested, you can have a look at that article right here. In my article, I discussed the differences between the original P-LOOP and explained the new features and functional benefits of this latest loop revision.

On Saturday 18 March, Commsprepper published his first video on the Chameleon P-LOOP 2.0. In that video Commsprepper uses the Signal Hound to sweep the Chameleon P-LOOP 2.0 across the 40 meters band. The sweep was quite impressive, showing a very tight bandwidth, indicating a very high Q, as well as a very low and consistent SWR across the band.  Here are a few screen captures of the scope.

I’m certain we can expect more videos from Commsprepper on this system. You can also expect more videos from (myself) OH8STN and K6UDA, over the coming weeks.

The Signal Hound is a Software Defined Receiver (SDR) configured as a narrow-band real-time spectrum analyzer. It is compact, simple to use, and an effective troubleshooting tool for general lab use, engineering students, ham radio enthusiasts, and electronics hobbyists.

I’ve created a playlist to put all of the Chameleon P-LOOP 2.0 videos in one place. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to find product information, from multiple content creators, across the globe, so here you are.
