Commsprepper shared a video demonstrating a portable solar powered AREDN node from a mountain overlooking La Paz Bolivia. This isn’t my normal sort of thing, but Commsprepper seems so passionate about it, I thought I would share it with our community.
As usual I’ll add a little bit of my own commentary to this. Data and voice Group Communications within line-of-sight. There’s huge potential for that for Community Communications. The reason it hasn’t been interesting for me previously, was the dependence upon so much infrastructure to get it working. With that said, if you have no other option, this will work where other Solutions have failed, especially commercial Solutions.
Alright operators. Enjoy the video, and please let Hank know where you found it.
