Many of you are using the audio notifications feature included in JS8Call. Until now, there were no default audio notifications for use.
To solve this problem I have created a set of voice notifications you can add to JS8Call.
The notifications are in wav format, and all inside a zip archive. Download the zip archive to your own computer, uncompress them, then place them in a folder where you want them located.
In the settings menu of JS8Call, select the audio interface you want to use for audio notifications . You can find that in the audio tab of the settings menu. Next, enable notifications. You can disable or enable notifications in the notifications tab of the settings menu. Now you can select the unique audio files for the different types of notifications. Select the correct notification for each entry, using the select button. Once you have selected the correct entry, you can test it using the test button. If you mess up, use the clear button to clear your selection and select the correct audio file.
I’ll definitely create a better set of voice notifications for you. If these are too annoying, give me some feedback and let me know how you’d like them. I can do them in English, Finnish, bad German, and really bad other languages with some help.
