This picture was taken at 0900UTC on Winter Solstice at 65° North. This time of year we have under three hours of daylight per day. For some reason, the lack of sunlight this winter, has been extremely difficult for me.
So I decided to head over to the seashore to see if I could sneak a peek at our life giving friend, as she pokes her head above the horizon. It was definitely worth it.
I’m going to be active between Christmas and New Year’s with the solar powered Field Station. I have a sneaking suspicion that many of you will be too.
